What days of the week do you deliver flowers?
We deliver from Monday to Saturday. Sunday delivery is not available.

The municipality covers the city and distinct areas around it. Its official service areas include Centrum, Oude Wijken, Oost, Zuid and West, plus the Haren and Ten Boer areas. Haren, Glimmen, Onnen and Noordlaren fall within one area, while Ten Boer includes villages such as Ten Post, Thesinge and Woltersum.
Use the postal locality shown for the property even when someone casually describes the destination as Groningen. A home in Haren or Ten Boer should not be rewritten as a central-city address. Matching the town, postcode, street and house number helps distinguish a city apartment from a village home elsewhere in the same municipality.
The municipal area also includes Haren and Ten Boer, which belong to larger administrative parts but should not be treated as streets or inner-city quarters. When a recipient uses one of those place names, retain it in the address and check the postcode rather than replacing it with central Groningen. That distinction is especially helpful to someone ordering from abroad.
The main city hospitals are UMCG and Martini Ziekenhuis. At Martini, published internal-post guidance asks for the patient name, department and room number. Use the same level of care for a flower order: confirm the institution, current department and recipient rather than relying on the hospital name alone.
Some Martini departments prohibit flowers, including the Burns Centre and its ward 3E, as well as the short-stay Observatorium. Both hospitals provide maternity care: UMCG has its Centre for Pregnant Women and Martini has delivery and maternity wards. Confirm the current ward before choosing flowers for a new parent, because recovery location and restrictions can change.
Name the faculty, building and recipient contact for a graduation, thesis defence or first day. The university year normally begins on the first Monday of September and runs through four teaching-and-exam blocks, so a student may move between lectures, exams and home. A fixed office or staffed reception is easier to reach than a changing classroom.
Confirm both names, the event date, ceremony time and a contact who will be present before the guests. The ceremony and reception may use different addresses. If the recipient is a performer, exhibitor or conference guest, add the event name and organiser rather than expecting a public entrance to locate them.
Central Groningen includes car-free and timed-access streets. Commercial vehicles may normally enter the timed zone for loading and unloading between 05:00 and 12:00; outside that window an exemption is required. Customers do not need to arrange the vehicle, but a precise entrance and reachable recipient reduce avoidable searching in restricted streets.
For a hotel or short stay, provide the booked guest name and coordinate around check-in and departure. Do not assume that every property holds personal items. An apartment above a shop, a student residence or a home with a shared entrance may also need an intercom name, floor, unit or local contact supplied by the recipient.
For student housing, add the complex or building name and the resident’s room information when it is part of the official address. Shared letterboxes and locked entrances make a reachable telephone number more useful than a general note saying that the recipient lives near the university.
There is no single flower custom for every family or faith community in Groningen. Ask the family or funeral organiser whether flowers are welcome and whether a restrained design or another gesture would be more appropriate. This is especially important when ordering from abroad or when the sender does not know the ceremony tradition.
Municipal burial locations use separate postal localities: Selwerderhof is in Groningen, Harenerhof and Eshof are in Haren, and Begraafpark Ten Boer is in Ten Boer. Confirm the deceased or family name, venue, service date and time, plus a funeral contact. A tribute may need to reach an aula, funeral director, place of worship or family home instead.
